Michael Dunstan is a director based in our Amsterdam office. He is the EMEA regional lead and founding team member of Proposition and Customer Experience (PCE) Labs, and a core member of the Customer and Design Practice.

Michael’s engineering background ensures he brings a structured and pragmatic approach to his work. This balances nicely with his passion for using design to inject creativity, experimentation, and customer-centricity to help clients realize their growth ambitions.

Prior to joining Kearney, Michael was a member of the Australian Olympic Sailing Team, where he helped athletes and coaches win with technology and innovation, leading to gold medal-winning campaigns at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympics. There he learned the ingredients and values of high-performing teams and the skills for decision-making under pressure and ambiguity. He remains a competitive amateur sailor, although has been doing far less sailing since trading the long Sydney summers for the milder Dutch climate.

Michael is a husband and proud father of two. He has a bachelor’s degree with honors in mechatronic engineering from the University of Sydney and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, where he was top graduating student.
